Kudos to Jordan!

Horseketeers member Jordan B. continued her winning ways at the Ocala Horse Park this past weekend, adding a pair of red ribbons to her collection. With Lionheart (Leo) in Open Novice, Jordan scored 31.50 in dressage and finished on that score with a clear cross-country run and no penalties in stadium. She was on the short end of the 1/2 of a point this time, though.  The winner scored that much higher in dressage and never gave Jordan a chance to move up. Even so, 2nd place is a fine finish!  In Junior Young Rider Open Preliminary, Jordan and Star Wars (Luke) tied for 3rd in dressage and went clear on cross-country, taking the lead into the stadium phase. Two rails cost them, however, on a tricky course, and they dropped into 2nd place. Jordan was pleased with Luke's performance, saying he saved her a couple times on cross-country . . . evidence of a real partnership!  And they look charming in red, don't they? Horseketeers member Jordan B. had a very successful outing at the Rocking Horse Spring Horse Trials this past weekend. Riding Star Wars (Luke), Jordan placed 8th in the Preliminary Rider division, in her first time competing at that level! She and Luke were tied for 3rd after dressage, had a rail and 3 time faults in stadium, and then went clear cross-country with 9.6 time faults.  All in all, Jordan said, "He was great and ran awesome." As if that wasn't enough, Jordan and her other horse, Lionheart (Leo), won their novice division against some very tough competition. It was a real nail-biter, too, as they squeaked into first place by only 1/2 a point, winning the dressage and going clean over all the jumps, with just 4 time faults in the stadium phase. Not to be outdone, "Leo was a star as well this weekend!" as Jordan put it. That means two more ribbons to hang on the wall, lots of happy memories, and the satisfaction of being able to say, "I cou
