Eventing Rally 2014
The Horseketeers had another great weekend showing their
horses at the USPC Sunshine Region’s annual Eventing Rally. This time the club formed a scramble team
with two other riders (Tori T. and Madison O.) from other clubs. Consisting of three disciplines (dressage,
show jumping, and cross country) Eventing is one of the most challenging and
exciting of all equine sports.
While the team did well through the dressage portion, a challenging
course caused more than one hiccup for the riders on the cross country
course. Nonetheless, the Horseketeers
kicked on and rode hard to have every rider complete the course!
Always giving safety and the health of their horses utmost
priority, the Horseketeers applied cool water to their horses immediately
following their cross country rounds. This
helped their horses to quickly recover more quickly, and avoid any heat related
injuries.
